What is Palmetto Adventures?
 
Palmetto Adventures is a division of South Carolina Camps and Retreat Ministries, a ministry of the United Methodist Church.  At Palmetto Adventures, we believe that relationships with our peers and with Christ develop most effectively when people are removed from their everyday environments.  We encourage people to leave their televisions, their music, their cell phone, all the noises of modern life that keep us from hearing God’s voice.
 
Palmetto Adventures uses group development and outdoor adventure programs to familiarize participants with concepts of risk.  In such atmospheres of calculated risk, participants are capable of safely and effectively learning from one another, from themselves, from God.
